Babu Bindela was diagnosed with two holes in the heart (Large Perimembranous Ventricular Septal Defect with L->R Shunt) a week after he was born. He needed immediate surgery. While the family was trying to put together the money needed for Babu’s treatment, hospitals in their area declined to perform the surgery due to lack or resources and financial burden.
Babu was brought to STAR hospitals in Hyderabad for its stellar reputation as a treatment center for Cardiac conditions. Doctors at STAR recommended Babu’s case to Hrudaya – Cure a Little Heart Foundation for financial assistance.
Babu was operated for Intra Cardiac Repair of Ventricular Septal Defect (VSD) in June 2013. This was made possible by the generous donation from a Hrudaya – Cure a Little Heart donor.
