KMF Helped a Girl for Heart Surgery

KINNERA MEMORIAL FOUNDATION assisted a 10 years old girl Laxmi Bhavani Bandi daughter of Srinivas Bandi, Ravivari Palem village of Mopidevi mandal, Krishna District, with a hole in her heart, to have a surgery in CARE Hospital, Hyderabad by cardiac surgeon Dr. Gopichand Mannam.

This surgery was done on Friday, 13th August, it was successful and Laxmi Bhavani Bandi is in stable condition and recovering from surgery. We thank Dr. Gopichand Mannam, Cardiac Surgeon in CARE hospital, for showing his thought support and generosity by doing this surgery without any charge.

We have seen 604 children in the past one-year by way of conducting camp every third Sunday of each month in Mopidevi village, Krishna District, Andhra Pradesh, out of them 190 visited us more than once and provided free medicine as they needed. So far we have identified 3 children with congenital heart disease. They were taken to Hyderabad and doctor Dr. Ramana Dandamudi, an M.R.C.P. in pediatric Oncology, Children’s Hospital, Center to treat Blood Disorder and Cancer, Hyderabad and also Trustee of the trust referred them to a cardiologist who schedules surgical procedures or advises therapies.

One girl had surgery today and the other 2 children are under observation at present. The parents of these children are extremely happy for the attention and the care they received at Hyderabad. Just recently we have assisted three other children – Balasubramanyam Guntur and Ravi kumar Guntur (12 and 11 years old and both are sons of Michael) and Ravi Veerla (5 years old and son of Thirupathayya) – suffering with congenital hydrocele and hernias to undergo successful surgery. We’re very happy that we were able to provide with all the necessary medical and financial assistance till their discharge.

We’re planning to extend the same Kind of assistance for the post-operative care.

Thanks
Kinnera Memorial Foundation (KMF) Team
